First acquisition for the Starkville-based company preserves Meavia’s mission and expands its portfolio of inclusive sensory products

STARKVILLE, Miss., June 3, 2026 – The Glo Companies has acquired Meavia Toys, marking the company’s first business acquisition and expanding its portfolio of inclusive, sensory-focused products. The move strengthens Glo’s position in the sensory play space while carrying forward Meavia’s founding mission: to aid in the development of Autistic children and kids with other learning and developmental challenges.
“This is more than a business decision,” said Hagan Walker, CEO and co-founder of The Glo Companies. “Meavia was built from a place of love and real need. When we learned the company might not be able to continue, we felt a responsibility to support that mission and help it grow.”
Meavia Toys was founded to create toys and learning tools that inspire and engage all kids, including autistic and sensory-challenged kids. Following the acquisition, the brand will continue to operate under its own identity. Founder Luis Prior will remain involved to support product development and the brand’s long-term vision.
“Meavia has always been about my son and families like ours,” said Prior. “Seeing it continue, and knowing it can now reach more children and families who benefit from sensory-focused play, including many in the autism community, means everything.”
Both brands will be present at ASTRA Marketplace & Academy, June 5 through 8, where the companies plan to highlight the new partnership.
The acquisition was first reported by The Toy Book. Read the original coverage at toybook.com.
